For the month of  August 2024, we recorded a total of 286 DNAs.

Each missed appointment represents a lost opportunity for another patient to receive timely medical attention and impacts the efficiency of our healthcare delivery.

DNAs can have several repercussions:

  1. Resource Allocation: Each missed appointment could have been allocated to another patient in need, particularly in our community where demand for healthcare services is high.

Steps to Minimise DNAs

We are committed to reducing the number of DNAs and ensuring that our services are accessible and efficient for everyone. To this end, we have implemented several measures:

  1. Appointment Reminders: We send out reminders via SMS and email to all patients prior to their scheduled appointments. Please ensure your contact details are up to date.
  2. Flexible Rescheduling: If you are unable to attend your appointment, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible to reschedule. This allows us to offer the slot to another patient.
  3. Patient Education: We are increasing awareness about the importance of attending scheduled appointments through educational materials and consultations.

How You Can Help

  • Update Your Contact Information: Ensure we have your current phone number and email address so you can receive appointment reminders.
  • Notify Us Promptly: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Be Mindful of Appointments: Keep track of your appointment dates and times, and try to adhere to them as much as possible.
