April 2025 Newsletter
Welcome to the April edition of the Whitley Road Medical Centre newsletter!
As spring blossoms around us, April is a time of new beginnings and reflection. The brighter days offer an opportunity to refocus on our physical and mental well-being, and we encourage everyone to take small, proactive steps toward better health—whether that’s managing allergies, booking a review for a long-term condition, or simply making the most of the fresh air and longer daylight hours.
We’re also continuing our NHS App Drop-In Clinics every Thursday at 1pm. These are open to all patients—no appointment required—and provide hands-on help with setting up or making the most of the NHS App’s features.
April also brings seasonal challenges, particularly for those with hay fever, asthma, or spring-related allergies. If you're finding your symptoms are worsening, our clinical team is happy to review your treatment and offer advice, but please visit your chemist for advise 1st.
This edition of the newsletter also marks a moment of personal farewell. Both myself and Janette Wood, our longstanding Office Manager, will be moving on from the practice this month. It has been a privilege to serve the patients of Whitley Road, and I want to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone I’ve worked with and cared for. I know the practice will continue to thrive under its excellent team.
As always, we welcome your thoughts, suggestions, and feedback. Your voice plays a vital role in shaping the way we deliver care.
Wishing you a healthy and hopeful start to spring!
Warm regards,
Zak Toon
